Fidelma McGinn
Executive Director, x12

Since November 2005, Fidelma has directed all aspects of Artist Trust's day-to-day operations including administration, fundraising, and program activities. Prior to her appointment at Artist Trust, she was Executive Director of Film Arts Foundation, one of the nation's top resource centers for independent filmmakers, located in San Francisco, and was Executive Director for 911 Media Arts Center, based in Seattle (1997-2003). She has served as a panelist and nominator for grantmakers such as the Rockefeller Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, Rasmusen Foundation and 4Culture. Her non-profit board experience includes service on the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture (two years as Board Chair), Richard Hugo House, and Ninth Street Independent Film Center. She is currently a board member of Washington State Arts Alliance and Grantmakers in Film and Electronic Media (GFEM). Before joining the non-profit sector, she spent seven years at Microsoft Corporation developing localization strategies for the Desktop Applications Division. She has a degree in Marketing and Communications from the College of Commerce in Dublin and is a graduate of Stanford Graduate Business School’s program for Executive Leadership in the Non-profit Arts. When not attending the latest artful event, she can be found hiking and exploring the great outdoors of the Northwest.

PROGRAM STAFF

Monica Miller
Director of Programs, x10

As Director of Programs for Artist Trust, Monica manages and facilitates all aspects of Artist Trust's education, professional resources and grant programs including Grants for Artist Projects (GAP), Artist Trust/WSAC Fellowship Program, and the Twining Humber Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement. Monica has worked with Artist Trust since 2004, as Programs Associate, Special Events Manager, and Director of Individual Giving. Her resume includes work with many organizations in the Seattle’s nonprofit arts community including the Fremont Solstice Parade, SOIL (an artist-run non-profit), Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, Seattle Art Museum, and the Henry Art Gallery,  focusing primarily on fundraising through events or volunteer management, she currently consults pro bono for arts organizations. Monica acquired her bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary in 1999 in Art and English Literature and pursued her Business Management Certificate at the University of Washington in 2006. Her art-making interests include playing with ceramics, paper, and metalsmithing and included a brief stint as a metal fabricator.

Miguel Guillen
Artist Resources Manager, x11

Miguel is the Artist Resources Manager for Artist Trust. Miguel oversees all aspects of Artist and Professional Resources including research, collection, organization and distribution of information about funding and other opportunities for artists. He produces and publishes Artists’ Assets. He also manages the Professional Resources components of the Artist Trust website and Artist Trust Memberships. Miguel has completed the Arts Management Certificate Program, has an Associate of Arts Degree from Seattle Central Community College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle. He is a practicing visual artist.

Nirmala Singh-Brinkman
EDGE Program Coordinator, x20

Nirmala manages operations of the EDGE Program, supports the instructors and participants and helps to facilitate the program sessions. She has a PhD in Comparative Literature and research interests in the role of literature and visual art in social and political movements and in the making of cultural identities. In her work at Artist Trust, Nirmala is committed to supporting individual artists and their enrichment of society and daily life.

DEVELOPMENT STAFF

Sheila Siden
Director of Development, x17

Sheila manages foundation, corporate and government funding at Artist Trust, in addition to outreach and marketing initiatives. Before joining Artist Trust, Sheila raised funds and developed audiences for culture and arts: Nikkei Heritage Association of Washington’s project to build a new Japanese Cultural and Community Center; Northwest African American Museum; and Gage Academy of Fine Art. Sheila came to arts and culture after 10 years in marketing management. She earned an MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a BA in French from San Francisco State University. Sheila is a board member of the Northwest Development Officers Association and a visual artist.

Marsha Wolf
Director of Major Gifts, x18

Marsha manages major gift funding from individuals for Artist Trust. As a board member for non-profit organizations and former public health faculty member at the University of Washington, she honed her skills of conceptualization and strategic planning, as well as cultivation and stewardship of collaborators and funders. Marsha formerly managed Pratt Fine Arts Center's foundation, corporate, and government funding.

Lele Barnett
Development Associate, x16

Lele provides fundraising and membership support at Artist Trust. She graduated from the University of Washington with an honors degree in Interdisciplinary Art and Art History. In October 2006 she opened the Seattle art gallery, lounge, and event space, McLeod Residence, which she managed for two years. She is the former Assistant Director of Vetri/William Traver Gallery; former Director of Foster/White Gallery; spent a year in New York City managing development and events for the not-for-profit arts organization, UrbanGlass; and sold historic paintings for Ray Redfern in Laguna Beach.

Martha Dale
Business Manager, x15

Martha joined Artist Trust in January 2008. She has broad experience in business management, organizational systems and non-profit accounting. Her most recent appointment was as the interim Finance Director of Washington Toxics Coalition. Previously she held a diverse array of jobs from restoring vintage hand-hewn log cabins, to an illustrious 10+ year career at Microsoft Corporation.

Lila Hurwitz
Communications Manager, x13

Lila produces Artist Trust's triannual print newsletter, Art Source, the bi-weekly e-newsletter, (re)Source, and manages publicity and outreach. Lila has worked in non-profit arts administration, including fundraising and event production, since 1987. She is Administrative Director, Co-Artistic Director and founding Board member of Dance Art Group, which produces the annual Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation and other events throughout the year. She is also a professional dancer, graphic designer, and Feldenkrais® Practitioner.
