Fidelma McGinn
Executive Director, Ext. 12

Since November 2005, Fidelma has directed all aspects of Artist Trust's day-to-day operations including administration, fundraising, and program activities. Prior to her appointment at Artist Trust, she was Executive Director of Film Arts Foundation, one of the nation's top resource centers for independent filmmakers, located in San Francisco, and was Executive Director for 911 Media Arts Center, based in Seattle (1997-2003). She has served as a panelist and nominator for grantmakers such as the Rockefeller Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, Rasmusen Foundation and 4Culture. Her non-profit board experience includes service on the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture (two years as Board Chair), Richard Hugo House, and Ninth Street Independent Film Center. She is currently a board member of Washington State Arts Alliance and Grantmakers in Film and Electronic Media (GFEM). Before joining the non-profit sector, she spent seven years at Microsoft Corporation developing localization strategies for the Desktop Applications Division. She has a degree in Marketing and Communications from the College of Commerce in Dublin and is a graduate of Stanford Graduate Business School’s program for Executive Leadership in the Non-profit Arts. When not attending the latest artful event, she can be found hiking and exploring the great outdoors of the Northwest.

PROGRAM STAFF

Monica Miller
Director of Programs, Ext. 10

Monica manages and facilitates all aspects of Artist Trust's granting programs, education and information services including Grants for Artist Projects (GAP), Artist Trust/WSAC Fellowship Program, and the Twining Humber Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement. Monica has worked at Artist Trust since 2004, as Programs Associate, Special Events Manager, and Director of Individual Giving. Monica has organized many events for Seattle’s nonprofit arts community, many of which were fundraisers. Monica was the Parade Director for the Fremont Solstice Parade in 2004, and as member of SOIL, an artist-run non-profit, Monica managed SOIL’s art auction for five years.

Miguel Guillen
Information Services Manager, Ext. 11

Miguel is the Information Services Manager for Artist Trust. Miguel oversees all aspects of Information Services including research, collection, organization and distribution of information about funding and other opportunities for artists. He produces and publishes Possibilities and Artists’ Assets. He also manages the Information Services components of the Artist Trust website and Artist Trust Memberships. Miguel has completed the Arts Management Certificate Program, has an Associate of Arts Degree from Seattle Central Community College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle. He is a practicing visual artist.

Nirmala Singh-Brinkman
EDGE Program Coordinator, Ext. 20

Nirmala provides administrative support for the EDGE Program as well as for the instructors and participants, and she helps to facilitate the EDGE sessions. She has a PhD in Comparative Literature and research interests in the role of literature and visual art in social and political movements and in the making of cultural identities. In her work at Artist Trust, Nirmala is committed to supporting individual artists and their enrichment of society and daily life.

Heather Joy Helbach-Olds
EDGE Projects Director, Ext. 20 

Heather has been at Artist Trust since 2001, serving as Director of Information Services and then Director of Programs. Currently, as EDGE Projects Director, she is working on Artist Trust's EDGE expansion efforts for Film and Literary artists. Heather has completed the Arts Management Certificate Program and the Commercial Photography Program at Seattle Central Community College. She is a practicing artist, and serves on the board of Blue Earth Alliance, a non-profit that raises awareness about endangered cultures, threatened environments and social concerns through photography.

Jay Steingold
Programs Assistant

Jay assists the Director of Programs as well as other Programs staff in various aspects of the grant and workshop programs. Currently he attends the University of Washington as an aspiring writer.

DEVELOPMENT STAFF

Sheila Siden
Director of Development, Ext. 17

Sheila manages foundation, corporate and government funding at Artist Trust. Before joining Artist Trust, Sheila raised funds and developed audiences for culture and arts: Nikkei Heritage Association of Washington’s project to build a new Japanese Cultural and Community Center; Northwest African American Museum; and Gage Academy of Fine Art. Sheila came to arts and culture after 10 years marketing Internet services. She has an MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a BA in French from San Francisco State University. Sheila is a board member of the Northwest Development Officers Association and a visual artist.

Marsha Wolf
Director of Major Gifts, Ext. 18

Marsha manages major gift funding from individuals for Artist Trust. As a board member for non-profit organizations and former public health faculty member at the University of Washington, she honed her skills of conceptualization and strategic planning, as well as cultivation and stewardship of collaborators and funders. Marsha formerly managed Pratt Fine Arts Center's foundation, corporate, and government funding.

Leslie Zenz
Development Associate, Ext. 16

Leslie assists in the development of Artist Trust’s many fundraising and special events. With her background in community celebration arts, Leslie has organized many events with organizations such as Fremont Arts Council; In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater (Minneapolis); Earthbound Productions (Olympia); and Dream Community (Taiwan). Leslie’s art endeavors includes a multiplicity of parade arts with a specialization in illuminated puppetry, batik, costuming, and public pageantry. She has served as Artistic Director for several interdisciplinary art performances including The Illuminated Ball (Olympia), Dream New Year’s Eve Countdown (Taiwan), and Amaterasu (Seattle).

Martha Dale
Business Manager, Ext. 15

Martha joined Artist Trust in January 2008. She has broad experience in business management, organizational systems and non-profit accounting. Her most recent appointment was as the interim Finance Director of Washington Toxics Coalition. Previously she held a diverse array of jobs from restoring vintage hand-hewn log cabins, to an illustrious 10+ year career at Microsoft Corporation.

Lila Hurwitz
Communications Manager, Ext. 13

Lila produces Artist Trust's quarterly print newsletter, Art Source, the bi-weekly e-newsletter, (re)Source, and manages publicity and outreach. Lila has worked in non-profit arts administration, including fundraising and event production, since 1987. She is Administrative Director and founding board member of Dance Art Group, which produces the annual Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation and other events throughout the year. She is also a professional dancer, graphic designer and Feldenkrais® Practitioner.
