The 2008 Art-B-Q was held on Sunday, August 10 and was a blast! Artist Trust members gathered to celebrate our newest Grants for Artist Projects (GAP) recipients, our 2008 EDGE Professional Development Program participants, and our members. Folks ate heartily of Uli's and Field Roast Sausages, watermelon, and chips, while enjoying a break from the rain. Everyone received free raffle tickets, and the lucky winners were:

• Brian Murphy, 2007 GAP recipient, won the Artist Trust Authors' Collection, which included 10 signed books from Artist Trust authors and a handmade book-end set made by EDGE graduate Boucante World Traveler;

• Michael Treacy, Artist Trust member and griller-volunteer (who served up sausages with gusto), won a lifetime membership to Artist Trust;

• Amy Buchheit, EDGE participant, won a complimentary ticket to Artist Trust's Annual Benefit Art Auction in February 2009;

• Fred Strong and Rebecca Dvorin-Strong won a copy of Business of Art: An Artist's Guide to profitable Self-Employment.

After the raffle, we were delighted with a hands-on Samba drumming workshop hosted by the magnificent Eduardo Mendonca of Show Brazil! Additionally, many folks participated in the Artist Trust Mural Project. Next time you stop by our offices in Seattle, check out our windows where this mural art is displayed!
