About the Artist
Adam Sekuler (Seattle) received a 2010 GAP to pay for artists’ fees associated with the creation of, as well as to pay entrance fees to film festivals for, his 60-minute silent experimental film titled Merely Mouthpiece, which was shot in stop-motion photography, using Seattle settings and dancers. Sekuler’s idea for the film was conceptual, exploring the themes of creation, desire and how an artist blends with their creation through archetypal characters. He is a 2012 CityArtist Project grant recipient, and in 2013 his dance film, In Transit, was on Dances Made to Order.
