About the Artist
I was born and raised in Ellensburg, WA and obtained my BA in Art and Anthropology in 1981 from Central Washington University. I supported myself as a professional photographer and returned to fine art in 1996. My current work is a culmination of my experience of living in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and reflects my intuitive relationship to the natural environment. I am integrating my feeling for sculpture and painting through focusing on the unique qualities of paper, wood, metal and stone and desire to respond to each new surface in an intimate manner.
