About the Artist

Edward Mast (Seattle) received a 2010 GAP for materials and publicity associated with an outdoor interactive performance tentatively titled Gazaville, about displaced, disposable and forgotten people around the world, from Gaza to Beijing to New Orleans to Seattle, drawing on his experiences in tent cities and refugee camps in the Middle East and Latin America, as well as with tent cities, teenage street youth and reservation youth in this country. Mast will write the script and work with other artists to develop the performance.
