Ezra Dickinson is receiving 2016 GAP funding for “Psychic Radio Star.” In this piece, he explores a character named “Psychic Radio Star“ in an evolving environment including: video projections, built set pieces, composed sound, costumes, and light. His inspiration for this “Psychic Radio Star“ character stems from the ever-changing dynamic between his mother and him. As he has grown up, his mother wanted to hear about his life as an artist, and upon hearing, his reply has become, “I’m famous too, I’m a Psychic Radio Star.”
