About the Artist
Jenifer Browne Lawrence (Poulsbo) received a 2006 GAP to cover promotional and travel expenses associated with the publication of her full-length poetry manuscript entitled One Hundred Steps From Shore. Themes explored in her work include the aftermath of trauma, how death and the way a family perceives and deals with dying, affect and shape our lives.
Jenifer won the first-place James Hearst Poetry Prize in 2011 and was a finalist in Narrative Magazine’s Second Annual Poetry contest.
