About the Artist
I make unique jewelry and sculpture using a range of materials, from precious metals to found objects and enamels. I draw inspiration from time spent out-of-doors and events from my life such as growing up amidst Midwest kitsch and pop-culture icons of the 1980s. Using iconography important in my own adolescence, I investigate nostalgic memories through the creation of interactive objects, working to recapture childhood whimsy.
The recipient of the 2010 Seattle Metals Guild Kris Williams Continued Education Scholarship and work study scholarships at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and Penland School of Crafts, my work has been exhibited nationally.
