About the Artist
Laura Brodax (Seattle) is a tile artist and photographer whose installations can be found throughout Washington State and the country. Her works in Washington can be seen in the King County Library System, Pierce County Public Buildings, Seattle Community Colleges, as well as other public buildings and private residences. Brodax works closely with both public and private residence clients to create images with a strong resonance. By screen printing photographs and drawings onto porcelain tile, she adds a rich contextual meaning to the artistic experience. She was featured in the 2004 book, Placemakers: Creating Public Art That Tells You Where You Are. Brodax is a University of Washington graduate with a BFA in Ceramic Art.
