About the Artist
Matt Wilkins (Tukwila) received a 2008 GAP to defray shooting costs for “Yonder,” a feature-length drama about a woman who fears her son is a bad seed. “It begins with sounds of a mysterious animal trapped in the wall of Frances’ house. She investigates and is particularly disturbed by the noises, which trigger memories of her father’s last words. In flashbacks, her dad, Robert, tells her that animals snuck through the walls of the hospital, and came to fetch him away. In a semi-delusional state, he claims to have a secret…”
Matt received a 2006 GAP to help pay actors involved with his current film project. Beginning in September of 2006, production begins on the second Sisyphus Production feature entitled Animal Within. Based on a completed 83-page screenplay (also from the artist), Within will utilize the flexibility of remote camera digital video and so experiment with various animal points-of-view.
Matt also received a 2002 GAP.
