About the Artist
Owen Rowe splits his time between Seattle, Port Townsend, and wherever else he can find quiet green shade to read and work. He translates Italian and Portuguese narrative into English, and also writes fiction and non-fiction, narrates audiobooks, and designs book typography. His current translation project is Her Mother’s Mother’s Mother and Her Daughters, a novel by Maria José Silveira that tells five hundred years of Brazilian history through the lives of twenty generations of mothers and daughters. Owen’s translation will be published by Open Letter Books in 2017.
