About the Artist
Patrice Donohue’s work explores the elements of mystery, containment and intensity. Through working with common, organic materials such as paper, cloth, wax, charcoal, wood and black ink, she creates landscapes of the mind, emotion and spirt. Donohue’s work is built to provide containment for the liminal, for the becoming, for emergence of the unknown. She says, "Depth, mystery and becoming--like the alchemical process--is a central theme of my work."
