About the Artist
At seven, I glued various legumes onto a tabletop in a swirling pattern. That was my first, and last, mosaic until I was forty-six. In 2003, my father was dying and we both needed a happy, colorful, place to escape. We learned to mosaic. When he passed, I kept going. My passion is mosaic sculptures. The complexities of 3D satisfy my need to build structure while the repetition is meditative. I use everything from trash to gold, but mostly glass. My designs are born from a joyful heart, a love of bright colors and the visions living in my imagination.
