About the Artist
Sonia Dolores Cook (Mercer Island) writes science fiction for young adults. Her first novel is set in the near future, a place where technology resembles magic and is used to combat global problems. She is an active member of the Chapters Without Borders Writing Group and frequently refines her craft at the Richard Hugo House. In 2012, she was an Associate Artist in Residence at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. In 2013, she will attend Taos Toolbox, a professional science fiction workshop held in Taos, New Mexico. She lives on Mercer Island, WA with her husband and their charming little pug.
