Event Information
Foster/White Gallery celebrates NCECA’s 46th Annual Conference with two ceramic exhibitions. Prey/Capture features Archie Bray affiliated artists Beth Cavener Stichter, Shay Church, Alessandro Gallo, Myungjin Kim, Steven Young Lee and Adam Shiverdecker. They will transform the gallery into a world of creatures and machines. A larger than life sea wall, animal/human hybrids, a military drone and fighter planes all converge to demonstrate the limitlessness of clay.
Additionally, Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts shares emerging artists Nicholas Bivins, Jeff Campana, Andrew Casto, Alanna DeRocchi, Jana Evans, Kenyon Hansen, Sean O’Connell, Lindsay Pichaske, and Jonathan Read for Table of Content. Each artist seamlessly combines beauty with utility, showing us how interesting our everyday lives can be.
“The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts is a dynamic organization that fosters global education and appreciation for the ceramic arts.”
The Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts is a public, nonprofit, educational institution founded in 1951 by brickmaker Archie Bray. Its primary mission is to provide an environment that stimulates creative work in ceramics.
