Event Information

There are many different ways to create pattern, texture and color on paper. This workshop will introduce you to some of these methods, using acrylic paints in combination with a range of acrylic mediums and gels. Creating your own papers assures that they are unique, lightfast and archival. Your hand painted paper can be used for collage, backgrounds for your paintings, sculpture, basketry, book arts, or even wrapping paper and cards!

All acrylic products are graciously supplied by GOLDEN Artist Colors.
Most other tools & materials are supplied by instructor.

Artists should bring the following:
- Drawing Paper 50-80lb, 9” x 12” or 11” x 14”-100 sheets
- paper towels
- plastic sheeting (3-4 ml, available at most hardware stores)
- Box lids or trays for transporting papers

Barbara De Pirro

Barbara De Pirro is a painter, sculptor, installation artist and educator, sponsored by Golden Artist Colors, Inc. She works both two and three dimensionally, translating and cross pollinating her concepts from one media to the other. Her expansive knowledge of acrylic, combined equally with her broad understanding of a full range of media opens the door to vast possibilities. All of this, she generously shares with other artists in her workshops and lectures.
