An unflinching voice of her generation, Jesmyn Ward has laid bare her own truth in two critically acclaimed novels, “Where the Line Bleeds” and “Salvage the Bones”; a memoir, “Men We Reaped”; and as editor of a groundbreaking collection of essays and poems entitled “The Fire This Time”. Her forthcoming work, “Sing, Unburied, Sing”, returns to Mississippi and her richly lyrical explorations of family bonds tied in between racism and poverty.
