Artist Trust invites visual artists in Washington State to apply to the EDGE Professional Development Program. The EDGE Program offers artists a comprehensive survey of professional practices through a hands-on, interactive curriculum that includes instruction by professionals in the field as well as specialized presentations, panel discussions and assignments. EDGE Program provides artists with the relevant and necessary entrepreneurial skills to achieve their personal career goals and with the opportunity to develop peer support and exchange. Since 2003, 512 literary, film and visual artists have successfully completed the EDGE Program.
This one-week residential intensive, August 17–24, 2013, is presented at Centrum, a center for arts and creative education located in historic Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend. The program, which consists of 52 hours of training, begins Saturday, August 17 at 12:00pm. Sessions then run 9:00am–6:00pm from Sunday, August 18 through Friday, August 23. The final session will be on Saturday, August 24, 10:00am–2:30pm. Up to 18 artists will participate.
