The Anacortes Arts Festival is calling fine artists to participate in the 2012 Annual Juried Competition August 3 - 5.  Exhibiting artists will be eligible for awards of $10,500 recognizing both 2D and 3D work. The deadline for submissions is March 29.

Barbara Matilsky, Curator of Art at the Whatcom Museum in Bellingham, WA will jury the exhibition.  She received a PhD of Modern Art from the Institute of Fine Arts in New York, and has held numerous curatorial positions.

Artists submit online digital images from which bodies of work will be selected. Approximately 35 artists will be selected, at the discretion of the juror. Applications and information are available on the Festival website www.AnacortesArtsFestival.com
