Approx 500 sq ft available now comes with shared gallery space.  Collective recently included one-of-a-kind children’s clothing from recycled materials, a painter, and a jeweler/metalworker.  Studio has the option of being open to the public for exhibition & sales once a month during the Ballard ArtWalk.

Facilities include a tub sink, hot and cold running water, shared mini-fridge and microwave (for food, not art materials), a toilet down the hall. Electricity is included in rent.  24 hr access, with quiet use from 10pm to 9am. Materials you use must be non-toxic to others in the studio.

If you are a jeweler, there is also the possibility of sharing some equipment. The space is $289/mo. First/last plus $150 sec dep is required at signing.

tryptos studio collective is located in the Curtiss Bldg at 5227 Leary Av NW in Old Ballard, near the Tractor Tavern.

This neighborhood has emerged as a community of artists with a weaving studio, metalworking, potteries, galleries and several clubs which regularly feature live music.  The weekly Sunday Market and monthly ArtWalk bring people into the neighborhood to browse, be entertained and buy.
