Job Summary

Foundry10 is looking for an enthusiastic undergraduate arts intern with a variety of interests and skills. At foundry10, Artistic Design is a broad category that encapsulates everything from visual art, drama, dance, graphic design and more. We are looking for a member of our team who will bring knowledge in these areas and is looking to deepen their knowledge in others.

The internship runs for a few months which will be discussed. We are looking for an intern who can work 10-15 hours a week. We have a flexible schedule and interns are able to do their hours anytime Monday-Friday from 10 am- 4 pm. This position is paid $18 per hour.

The ideal applicant will have skills in two or more of the areas listed below and a willingness to develop additional skills. The internship requires familiarity with Google Suite (gmail, drive, docs, sheets, forms calendar etc.).

Foundry10 is a philanthropic research organization based in Seattle that is dedicated to studying learning and putting theory to action. For the past 4 years, we have been designing and running research studies and programs in partnership with schools and community organizations around the world.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Co-teaching a hip hop dance workshop

• Planning and/or teaching a dramatic arts workshop

• Collecting survey responses and data entry

• Installation or mounting art in a gallery space

• Create fliers for events and dynamic ways to share research findings

• Connecting with different educational or artistic communities in the area

• Film Editing using Adobe Premiere

• Outreach to the local art community Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well independently, flexibly, and in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to support a variety of staff and projects at a time.
Internship or previous experience in the job duties preferred.
Basic knowledge of psychological or educational research
Graphic design including some proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Experience teaching and planning programs
Event coordination including logistics for large scale events and coordination of smaller events
