Through collaboration and leveraging of community resources, Let Go Healing Works delivers “the art of healing” to healthcare settings in the Pacific Northwest. By curating exhibitions, coordinating public performances and providing access to bedside art, Let Go Healing Works cultivates healing environments, contributing to positive patient outcomes and increased quality of care.

Let Go Healing Works was recently incorporated as a nonprofit in the State of Washington. After incorporation, Let Go Healing Works was selected by the New York Foundation for the Arts for fiscal sponsorship under its Artspire program. Wendy Ryals has stepped forward to recruit, manage, and lead its founding board, a slate of thought leaders in arts and medicine.

Founding Board Members Sought:

President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and At Large board members needed to provide duty of care, governance, oversight, and seed funding.

Founding member responsibilities:
- Able and willing to oversee the organization’s initial development
- 2 year term commitment
- Up to 1 hour per week availability by phone
- Quarterly in person meetings (2-3 hours each)

Support for the Founding Board:
- Let Go Healing Works is applying for an ArtHealth Solutions consulting grant through the Society for Arts in Healthcare and the National Endowment for the Arts for up to 20 hours of assistance with strategic planning in 2012
- 10 regional foundations identified as potential funders with grants up to $500,000
- Letters of intent and grant proposal language drafted for submission to foundations

- Leading and leaving an arts legacy in the Pacific Northwest, making the arts available in ways which change peoples’ lives
