Overview

The Professional Artist Annual Portrait Cover Contest features an open-ended interpretation of the term “portraiture.” The contest is open to artists 18 and up working in any media or style. Portraits may be literal or nonliteral representations (i.e. collage, digital collage, abstract works, etc. also accepted). No fee to enter.

Awards and Prizes

First Place: $500 Blick Art Materials Gift Certificate, plus winning artwork featured on the cover of the May issue of Professional Artist and a one-page interview profile inside the magazine.

Second Place: $150 Blick Art Materials Gift Certificate, plus a half-page interview profile and image of submitted artwork inside the May issue of Professional Artist.

Third Place: $100 Blick Art Materials Gift Certifcate, plus a half-page interview profile and image of submitted artwork inside the May issue of Professional Artist.
