Overview

For more than 20 years, Seattle Repertory Theatre’s Professional Arts Training Program (PATP) has helped young professionals break into the world of not-for-profit arts.

PATP Interns and Apprentices are immersed in the not-for-profit theatre world at Seattle Rep. They take on departmental responsibilities, contribute ideas, participate in seminars and staff meetings, and complete challenging projects. The combination of rigorous immersion with supported learning makes the PATP an ideal program for young adults making the transition from school to the professional theatre community.

Season-long INTERNSHIPS in: Paint, Props, Casting/Directing, Literary Management, Education, and Lighting. These internships are volunteer positions with a $200 weekly reimbursement for expenses and offer interns valuable, hands-on experience in their field. Interns will also participate in seminars led by industry professionals, which offer an overview of how artists and departments collaborate at the regional theatre level.

We are also excited to announce our new APPRENTICESHIP opportunities for Stage managers! Beginning this year, two emerging Stage Management Apprentices will be immersed in the experience of being on a regional theatre production team, receiving minimum wage ($15/hour) during their time with us, as well as participating in educational seminars and building a community with the full PATP cohort.

Applications open: January 9, 2018
Deadline: March 12, 2018
