Smarthouse Creative introduces Smarthouse Launchpad, an in-kind marketing & publicity services grant program for finished feature-length documentaries. The first ever Launchpad Grant will provide one filmmaking team with the resources they need to run a full marketing campaign in support of a festival premiere, theatrical opening, or on-demand/home video release in the US.
To qualify for the grant, projects must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Film is finished.
- Target dates for campaign implementation fall between June 15, 2017 and October 15, 2017.
- Already have basic marketing elements in place, including website, poster, press kit, and trailer.
Smarthouse will evaluate projects based on the potential for us to make an impact for the filmmakers and the project. Additional consideration will be given to projects that will benefit most from Smarthouse’s specific experience and expertise.
To submit a project for consideration, please fill out the following application form no later than March 31, 2017:
- Only feature-length documentary films will be considered. Films should be in English or have English subtitles. Smarthouse welcomes entrants from the US and beyond; we are able to work with filmmakers remotely. Only one submission per applicant please. Please send questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
