Umbrella Project, Seattle / Seeks Volunteer Associate Dramaturg

Overview

Umbrella Project is a new play development and co-producing organization that is revolutionizing the way new plays are developed and produced in Seattle.

By building local and national networks of arts organizations and other innovative partners, Umbrella Project will connect facilitate the sharing of resources to support some of the most ambitious and vital art in their theatre communities—​their new plays.

The Associate Dramaturg works with the Director of Dramaturgy and other Umbrella Project dramaturgs to evaluate incoming scripts, communicate with playwrights, and develop new plays. The Dramaturgical Associate may also contribute to the administrative side of Umbrella Project, leading talkbacks, writing blog posts, and organizing the script reader pool.
