Since 1995, the West Seattle Garden Tour (WSGT) has celebrated the Art of Gardening by showcasing spectacular West Seattle residential gardens and producing beautiful posters each year to promote the Tour. In honor of our 18th Annual West Seattle Garden Tour on Sunday July 15, 2012 we are pleased to announce the creation of our first Poster Contest for the 2012 West Seattle Garden Tour.

The contest is open to all artists who wish to participate, with a Grand Prize of $500.00 for the winning artist; there is no entry fee. We will accept original artwork in any medium. Artwork must be submitted in person on Friday March 2 or Saturday March 3, 2012 between noon and 4:00 pm at the Windermere Realty office in Alaska Junction (4526 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98116).

The artwork should be an interpretation of the WSGT theme “The Art of Gardening” celebrating color, design and texture in the garden. WSGT Committee members will select the winning artwork in early March 2012. Additionally, the top ten works selected will be showcased during the West Seattle Art Walk on May 10, 2012.
