The James W. Ray “Distinguished Artist Award” is a nomination-based award of $50,000 given annually to a Washington State artist of any discipline whose work demonstrates exceptional originality. The award is intended to help advance the creative work of outstanding individual artists. The recipient is showcased in a Frye Art Museum (FAM) exhibition and receives individualized support through Artist Trust’s Creative Career Center. In this webinar, AT’s Artist Liason, Katy Hanningan, and AT’s Grants to Artists Program Coordinator, Owen David, explain the different sets of materials required with the application, how to choose the best work samples, the paneling process, and answer any questions that you may still have about the application.
