From the moment I started as Artist Trust’s Member Liaison two years ago, my goal was to increase the value of Artist Trust’s memberships. Since that time, we’ve made one-on-one consultations with our Programs staff an exclusive benefit for members; lots of members have taken advantage of this service and have received valuable guidance on various aspects of their careers. We continue to add business discounts around the state, and recently started offering discounted member prices for our Creative Career Center workshops—over 50 members have already utilized the career training discounts!
We’ve also made a concerted effort to offer member-discount tickets to other Artist Trust events, including our big Awards Party at Experience Music Project where we honor our grant recipients and major community supporters; members received 50% off their ticket price last November!
A recent addition to the Artist Trust member benefits is our quarterly e-newsletter, (re)Members. Since its launch in July 2012, 115 members have promoted their events and shared their news through the newsletter. “This is exciting! As a professional public/ecological artist living in a rural area outside of King County (Port Townsend), I am often challenged to keep up with what’s happening and networking connections. This newsletter will be great. I love that it will primarily be about projects and events.” [Deanna Pindell, EDGE Professional Development Program graduate and Artist Trust member since 2005]
