Artist Trust Names New Associate Director

Artist Trust is pleased to announce that Lila Hurwitz has been promoted to Associate Director, a newly-created position. Ms. Hurwitz will be responsible for many of the day-to-day operations of the non-profit organization, as well as public relations and outreach.

Ms. Hurwitz first joined the Artist Trust staff in 2003 as a part-time Development Associate. She became Artist Trust’s first Communications Manager in 2006 and was promoted to Communications Director in 2011.

Ms. Hurwitz has worked in non-profit arts administration since 1987. She is a founding Board member of Dance Art Group, an internationally-recognized non-profit arts organization, as well a professional dancer, graphic designer and Feldenkrais® Practitioner.

Artist Trust has invested over $10 million in Washington State artists since its founding in 1986, through grant programs and direct support. Artist Trust also provides a comprehensive suite of career training and professional development resources to help artists achieve their career goals.
