This is an annual Air Fair, featuring some of the best jury selected local artists on the Eastside. Meet the artists and learn about their creative process. The highest quality and variety of fine art will be available for purchase, and will feature original paintings, jewelry, mixed media, encaustic art, various glass arts, ceramics, woodcarving, and textile art.

SEAT (Seattle Experimental Animation Team) in conjunction with Sound Transit, and with support from the NW Film Forum and Art Work Fine Art Services presents: Wallrus – The slow moving, ungainly giant movie, an eight part collaborative mural/animation created over four years on the surface of a construction barrier in Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park.


Cal Anderson Park, a section of the big red wall around the light rail construction - specifically by 'the Philosopher's Tree' near the 10th Ave and Denny park entrance.

Glass Art Festival / Sequim

As an artistic medium, glass creates magic! From inspiration to creation process to finished piece, glass evokes emotions. Nearly everyone feels drawn to glass and is fascinated by its illusiveness. The 2010 Glass Art Festival will provide the public with a variety of opportunities to view a diverse selection of glass art and to experience and discover all that goes into its creation.

The Glass Art Festival features an array of events during the month of September 2010. These include:


In and around the town of Sequim, WA, and other venues on the Olympic Peninsula.


In Studio Artist Sessions

Beginning the first Monday in April (April 5th.), Frances is opening her downtown Puyallup artist’s studio/gallery for local artists to work together on a regular basis. Space will be available by subscription. A one session fee is $15 for 3 hours of studio time. Those making a prior purchase of 12 sessions will receive a 10% discount. Those 12 sessions must be used in the 6 months after purchase.

Artists may work in Frances’ studio at 217 N. Meridian, Puyallup WA  98371:

Edmonds Art Studio Tour

On September 18th and 19th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM approximately twenty Edmonds artists will open their studios to the public. The Edmonds Art Festival is the sponsor of this fifth annual Edmonds Art Studio Tour. The free self-guided tour showcases the work of about forty local artists. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet artists and see how they produce their work; discuss their tools, techniques, and latest projects; get an insider's view of their creative processes and be the first to see their newest work.

Tacoma Art Museum / The Movement of Impressionism: Europe, America and the Northwest

An exhibition of paintings, prints and sculpture that explores the impressionist movement and its international influence. Included are works by French impressionists including Degas, Renoir, Pissarro and Morisot, as well as impressionists from other countries such as Whistler, Cassatt, Sorolla and Pokitonov.

Hours: Wednesdays-Sundays 10 am-5 pm, Third Thursdays 10 am-8 pm
Admission: Adult $9, Student/Military/Senior (65+) $8, Family $25 (2 adults and up to 4 children under 18). Children 5 and under free. Third Thursdays free. Members always free.
