Personal Statement

I love to laugh, and if something strikes me as funny, strange or ironic - it becomes fodder for my work. Phrases with double meanings, odd visual juxtapositions, humorous songs, domestic squabbles and everyday absurdities all inspire me. I especially like to take intimate, personal objects, familiar to everyone and to alter them to make them absurdly personal and thought-provoking.

Biography

I am a full-time sculptor working primarily in glass. I have a degree in Landscape Architecture because I was too stubborn to quit when I realized sculpture was my calling; and an incomplete MFA because I did quit two years into it when I realized that life's too short to jump through other people's hoops.
