ResidenceEllensburg, WA, USA Place of BirthOneonta, NY, Personal StatementThe primary focus of my painting process is the exploration of psychological reality through symbolic narrative imagery. Whether painting household interiors, archetypal images or deeply personal feelings, the work expresses my distinctly feminine worldview. This intuitive process, my choice of symbols and colors and the inner world that I explore all combine to express my physical, emotional and spiritual life experiences. Openness to this inner dialogue has created the visual evidence detailing a journey of self-discovery. BiographyI discovered art and painting during my senior year in college, changed my major and have now been a painter for over 30 years. It is how I know myself and the world around me. During the 1990s, I completed 350 paintings dealing with childhood trauma, did 19 solo exhibits and wrote a book relating to the work. The Child Welfare League of America published the book. I am now creating mural sized paintings that reflect my philosophy of life.
