Funding opportunity through the Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council. Resident artists, humanities scholars, cultural groups, organizations and community members presenting cultural projects, programs, and events that benefit the Bainbridge community are eligible to apply for funding. This City supported program is managed by BIAHC, with the goal of increasing access to, participation in, and awareness of the arts and humanities and multi-cultural experience. Awards typically range from $500 to $5,000. All applicants intending to apply for financial support are reminded that attendance at the Application and Work Sample Workshop on Wednesday, October 1, from 7-9pm is a requirement. Applicants may register by calling the Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council at 206.842.7901. The Workshop location has changed to Bainbridge High School, room 302. Applications are only considered from individuals and organizations that have sent their grants writer to the workshop. The application deadline is October 30, 2008, at 5:00pm.
