The Wing Luke Asian Museum seeks an experienced writer/administrator to generate significant grant funding resources and maintain adequate financial oversight. The Grants Manager is responsible for managing the Museum’s grants support plan; building relationships with granting organizations; researching, developing and writing grant proposals; meeting grants timelines; overseeing grant production; tracking and administering grant contracts. Other responsibilities include writing a variety of communication pieces as needed. Position reports to the Development & Marketing Director, and supervises contract grantwriters and other staff or volunteers as needed. Successful candidate will demonstrate ability to write with clarity and speed, experience in organizing and managing multiple projects under deadlines, and ability to work collaboratively with staff members from multiple departments. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team, and possess a sense of humor especially under pressure. Bachelor’s degree and two years grantwriting or related fund development experience required; three years experience preferred. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required. Prior experience writing successful grant proposals, including generating project budgets, as well as experience with Raiser’s Edge is preferred. Experience working with Asian Pacific American communities is a plus. Full-time 40 hours per week position. Salary DOE.
