Center on Contemporary Art (CoCA) seeks artists for its annual juried exhibition on the theme of Hybrid: The elements of the world we live in are increasingly becoming synthesized, mixed and reorganized. New ideas are being combined with existing ones. From cars to food, politics and religion, biochemistry, new technologies and art, we are all experiencing the “hybrid”. This year’s juror is Riko Nakasone, director and curator of the Bau-Xi Gallery (http://www.bau-xi.com) in Vancouver, British Columbia. $500 first prize; $250 second prize; $25 entry fee for first item, $10 each additional piece.
