Instructions to Submit a Listing
Click here to download instructions to submit a listing. (PDF 60KB) Artist Trust allows organizations and individuals to create or update their own information in our online database. We currently have over 450 listings in our database. Not sure if you are already listed? Type your organization or business name in the search field located in the top right corner of the page. If you find your organization or business listed in the search results, please contact Artist Trust staff to get started. If you are not already listed in our database, please follow these steps: 1) CREATE AN ACCOUNT (New Users Start Here) - From the Information Services menu select <Create new account>.
- Username field: Please use your full name or organization's name to help Artist Trust staff recognize you.
- E-mail address field:Â A password will immediately be sent to your email address. If you do not receive an email with your password, please contact Artist Trust staff and we will provide one for you.
- Once you have a password, <LOGIN>.
2) LOGIN - From the Information Services menu, under USER LOGIN, enter your Username and the password that was emailed to you or assigned to you by Artist Trust staff.
- Your user name should appear on the left side menu. Under your user name click <my account>.
- In the center of the screen you will see your username and 3 buttons below it: view, edit and address book. Click <edit> and your account information will appear.
- If you would like to change your password enter it twice into the <Password> field.
- You MUST select your Time Zone in the last field. SELECT YOUR CURRENT LOCAL TIME.
- Click <submit>.
3) CREATE CONTENT (Existing Accounts Start Here, Log in first) Your listing will then be moderated by Artist Trust's staff and loaded to our site within one business day. If after two business days, you do not see your event on our site and you have not been contacted by Artist Trust staff, then it is safe to assume we did not choose to post your listing. - Select <create content> from the left side menu.
- From the menu in the center of the screen, select the type of content you want to create:
- Select <Contact> if you are an individual. Please submit your contact information here. You only need to do this once. Whenever you return to our site to submit a listing, you can choose your contact information from the Contact drop down menu.
- Select <organization> if you are representing an organization or business. Please submit the contact information and a description of your organization or business here.You only need to do this once. Whenever you return to our site to submit a listing, your organization’s information will automatically appear with any listing you create.
- Select <event> if you would like to submit a workshop, lecture, seminar, event or meeting that is relevant to artists and related to Artist Trust's mission.
- Select <Information Resource> if you would like to submit a resource, opportunity, employment, space or service that is currently available to artists.
- For CONTACT - On the Submit page:
- Fill in all the contact information you would like readers to see on listings you submit. Do not select a Resource or Discipline.
- Click <Submit> when it's ready.
For ORGANIZATION - On the Submit page: - Title: Insert the title of your organization or business.
- Name: Insert the title of your organization or business.
- Brief Description: Insert a clear and concise description of your organization/business. 750 character maximum.
- Long Description: Insert a longer more detailed description of your organization/business here. 1200 character maximum. Please do not attach or include forms, applications or images. Currently we are not allowing active links.Â
- Address, City, etc: Insert all contact information you'd like to appear for your organization/business.
- Contact: You can add a specific contact (example: Director John Doe) or you can skip this field.
- Resources: Select the categories your organization/business fits in to. You may choose to skip this field.
- Discipline: If your organization/business is specific to an artistic discipline, select those disciplines that apply or select All Disciplines if your organization/business is relevant to artists of all disciplines or you may choose to skip this field.
- Click <Submit> when your listing is ready.
For EVENTS - On the Submit Event page:
- Title: Insert a title for your event.
- Discipline: If your event is specific to an artistic discipline, select those disciplines that apply or select <All Disciplines> if your event is relevant to artists of all disciplines. Do not skip this field.
- Event Description: Insert a clear and concise description of your event. 750 character maximum. Please do not attach images, forms or applications. Currently we are not allowing active links.
- Location: Insert the location of your event, include as many details as necessary.
- Start: Select the date and time your event starts.
- End: Select the date and time your event ends. If your event has no scheduled end time, do not alter this field. Your listing will show only a start time.
- Time Zone: BE SURE to select your time zone. If you are in Washington state, select <US/Pacific>, located near the end of the drop down menu.
- Click <Preview> to preview your listing. Make any edits to your listing now. Once you click <submit>, you will not be able to edit it again until it gets published by Artist Trust staff.
- Click <Submit> when your listing is ready.
For INFORMATION RESOURCE - On the Submit page:
- You must first create a contact or organization. You only need to do this once. After creating a contact or organization, that information will automatically appear in any listing you submit. You may only skip this step if you include your contact information in a Description field.
- Title: Insert a title for your listing.
- Organization: If you already created an organization, select it in the drop-down menu.
- Brief Description: Insert a clear and concise description of your resource, opportunity, employment, space or service. 750 character maximum If applicable, PLEASE include the DEADLINE of your resource, opportunity, employment, space or service in the Brief Description.
- Long Description: Insert a longer more detailed description of your resource, opportunity, employment, space or service here. 1200 character maximum. Please do not include or attach forms, applications or images. Currently we are not allowing active links.
- Expiration Date: Please select the Month, Day and Year your resource, opportunity, employment, space or service expires. If there is no expiration date, you may skip this field.
- Contact: If you already created a contact for yourself, select it in the drop down menu.
- Resource: Select the categories your listing fits in to. Do not skip this field.
- Discipline: If your listing is specific to an artistic discipline, select those disciplines that apply or select <All Disciplines> if your listing is relevant to artists of all disciplines. You may choose to skip this field.
- Click <Preview> to preview your listing. Make any edits to your listing now. Once you click submit, you will not be able to edit it again until it gets published by Artist Trust staff.
- Click <Submit> when your listing is ready.
HELPFUL HINTS - To create one hard return (instead of the two the system makes as a default), press <shift> + <return> simultaneously.
 - To select more than one category or discipline:
- Mac users: hold the apple key while selecting the different items
- PC users: hold the control key while selecting the different items
