About the Artist
Allison Augustyn (Seattle) is an award-winning writer and editor. She recently finished a young adult novel about environment, seed banks, and U.S./China culture clash, and is working on a second book. She was a rock music critic for the Chicago Sun-Times and Seattle Times, and the book Kill Your Idols. She is co-author of the PROSE award-winning Gems and Gemstones (University of Chicago), and opened five exhibits as a media writer at The Field Museum of Natural History. Her most recent writing has appeared in The Masters Review and is forthcoming in the UK journal Doll Hospital.
