About the Artist
Carrie L. Larson continues to hone skills first developed at Whitman College, where she was privileged to study art under Keiko Hara. While the artist’s book remains a beloved form, Larson also investigates ideas and processes in general mixed media work, influenced by the emotional landscapes of literature and the natural beauty that surrounds her Grays Harbor home. A 2009 residency at Hypatia-in-the-Woods lent impetus and invigoration to her current work, which reveals a curious artist, avid reader, and thoughtful writer. Larson has exhibited regionally and in juried shows nationally. In 2013 her Red, Revisited, was included in 500 Handmade Books.
Carrie also serves as an Artist Trust Ambassador.
