About the Artist
Born in England, Christina spent her formative years in Morocco, Ghana, and Ethiopia followed by several years living in France, England and the United States. She is now settled in Seattle, Washington for 20+ years. Here, Christina has gained a strong sense of color-use in watercolors.
Her artistic talent was discovered at age 5 in Ghana when she made friends with a classmate who could draw people. Together they were chosen by teachers to make posters and chalk murals on classroom blackboards for holiday occasions. This was the awakening to a life-long passion.
Christina’s education background includes a BA degree in Fine Arts from UC Santa Cruz, California followed by an additional degree in Graphic Design from the London College of Printing. In England, she worked as a Graphic Designer at The National Gallery and at The British Library where she was commissioned to paint a series of six watercolors for the library. After moving to Seattle, she worked in Interactive Media at Microsoft, and landed many illustration assignments, for different clients. Christina is a member of the Seattle League of Arts and paints as much as possible with fellow local artists.
