About the Artist
Isobel Davis (Seattle) is an artist working in cyanotype process and encaustic monotype collage. She chooses mediums that force her to partner with nature’s unpredictability. She likes to create work that expresses the energy of a thriving ecology while honoring what is precious and vulnerable. These works, on paper and repurposed fabrics, are often made into 3-d objects and installation pieces. She likes to incorporate her writing into her pieces. Isobel’s art is a conscious response to issues, both global and inner-personal, that strike her heart.
