About the Artist
Much of Jared Pappas-Kelley’s work seeks out the challenge of unintentional audiences, often melding sculpture, performance, and media based elements into projects that are inserted into everyday life. In all of this work, he strives to create a practice that goes outside the individual and explores new interactions and connections with the world outside. Pappas-Kelley is co-founder of the Tollbooth Gallery project, which is the world’s smallest gallery dedicated to video a wheat paste fine art. He is currently working on the Story of Home, a guerilla touring audio project that explores the idea that “home” is something we actually create around ourselves.
