About the Artist
My work is influenced by the kaleidoscope of colors and textures found in nature. Growing up in Walla Walla, I was inspired by the changing landscapes of four distinctive seasons. Intrigued by the majestic beauty of the Puget Sound region, I moved to Tacoma where I began my study of kiln fired glassworking under the tutelage of many prominent glass artists.
It is intensely satisfying to me to transform cut sheets of glass, metals and powders into unique objects that are defined by their texture, color and design. Exploring new techniques and researching different methods of expressing myself has created exciting new challenges for me.
