About the Artist
Krista Forsyth Fisher (Lake Forest Park) was born in Anacortes, WA. While growing up, she was stimulated by the thriving arts community in her town.
At Evergreen State College, Krista became friends with artists and musicians who shaped her artistic aesthetic, a lowtech punk philosophy that art and music could be made with few and simple materials. In Seattle, with encouragement from her husband, she enrolled in the BFA Sculpture Program at the University of Washington and graduated with honors.
Krista is currently working in mixed media abstractions of the female form. Her interest lies in the duality between body as object and body as personal armor, a source of inner strength.
