About the Artist

Nickolus Meisel (Pullman) received 2010 GAP Award funding to purchase equipment and pay artist fees for his current project, A Sound Investigation, as well as create future opportunities for collaborations. His immersive installation-based work is centered on site conditionality, a notion that a work evolves out of a place and moment. Upon reflection on his practice Nickolus has realized that virtually every work he has made has a soundtrack. Sound Investigation is the addition of sound-based elements in the display of his installations. The obvious next step in his process is to collaborate directly with musicians/noise makers and or via collecting the sounds himself.
