About the Artist
Pamela Durga Robinson makes narrative paintings that explore the societal roles people play throughout life. She paints people, dolls and puppets. She sees dolls and puppets as carriers of our common thoughts filled with bits of universal stories that bind humanity across cultures and time.
Pamela is a graduate of the Drawing and Painting Atelier and the Drawing Foundation Certificate Program at Gage Academy. She also studied at Pratt Fine Arts Center and is a graduate of the University of Washington. Derrick Cartwright, former Director of Seattle Art Museum, awarded her first place in portraiture at Best of Gage, 2010.
