About the Artist
Ricki Mason (Seattle) received 2009 GAP Award funding to hire additional artists to contribute to the post development phase of her project. “Lou Henry at Home” was an evening-length contemporary dance theater solo performed in her apartment for an audience of five to eight people. The piece was a fantasy version of Ricki, more male and more female, quicker to declare an opinion and quicker to change it. It premiered in 2010 and ran bi-weekly for three months. The award enabled Ricki to rehearse for four consecutive weeks in Fall 2009. In 2013 she was featured in CityArts magazine.
