About the Artist
Ronald Hall's (Seattle) experience of growing up as a young artist amidst the crime ridden neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, PA helped him realize that art should be a tool for learning and teaching. Ronald demonstrates through art his interpretation of historical and contemporary issues with an emphasis on race and identity in America. He also attempts to demonstrate the injurious effects of visual representations and misrepresentations in society and how this effects people's perception of one another in terms of race, physical appearance or social status. This becomes an ultimate goal in his work.
