About the Artist
Suzanne Morrison (Seattle) received 2009 GAP Award funding for development and research funds, business travel, and producing six workshop performances of the show in both New York and Seattle. Inspired by the dark beauty of the Northwest and the haunting stories of the people who knew and loved homegrown serial killers, Your Own Personal Alcatraz is the story of a community, a family, and the people who walk through our lives who we may love, but never fully know. The piece is an autobiographical solo show about the perils of island living, both in literal and metaphorical sense.
