About the Artist
Virginia Wilcox is a Seattle-based fine art photographer who received her BFA in photography from Bard College. She has shown work in galleries throughout the United States and Paris. Her work was selected by Aperture editor Denise Wolff for the juried exhibition Present Tense at Photo Center NW in 2010, New York Gallery Umbrella Arts’ International Open Call for Bed in 2009, and Artist Trust’s juried Silver Anniversary Benefit Art Auction in 2012.
Virginia works with a large format view camera, creating industrial landscapes that capture the culture of rural America, and making intimate portraits of her closest friends and family interacting with their mobile devices.
